Winner Contest Ideas Project The Architectural Proposal for the Bodega Benjamín de Rothschild & Vega Sicilia develops an ordering in the whole field giving meaning to its about 5 Ha. It locates and designs both the Winery and the Social Pavilion, it proposes a 1Ha Experimental Vineyard. and trace some themed rides. and trace some themed rides.

Take full advantage of the unique characteristics of the land and its landscaping beauty, fitting the building in its topography and responding to the dominant orientations and winds. It conforms to the program of received surfaces and to the functional needs of a winery. It proposes a simple and clear functional scheme, with well-chained spaces that allow an internal linear path from one end to the other.

The Architecture for the Winery seeks beauty in simplicity away from excesses or waste. Ensures the best conditions for the elaboration and aging of the wine. It has a rational construction, with intelligent maintenance and introduces noble and welcoming materials.

Responding to the preliminary idea of ​​respect and sensitivity to the place, it raises the need to fragment the building into three smaller volumes, unlike a single volume. Thus, Elaboration, Aging and Expedition will be the names of the three ships. Each ship is identified with a basic element of nature, Water, Earth and Sun.

The ship of Elaboration and Reception of the Grape, will be the ship of “Agua”. The ship of Aging or centerpiece, will be the ship of the “Earth”. Finally, the Ship of Expedition with the portico of exit, will be the ship of “Sol”.
